Review content:
I took my small dog to Pup-A-Razzi get a haircut. I picked her up from being groomed around 3 pm, dropped her off at my home, and went back to work. When I got home around 5 pm, my dog?s eyes were so irritated that she wasn?t even opening them. The next morning, her right eye had become so swollen that the bottom lid was no longer touching the eye ball. I took her to the vet and they diagnosed her with a corneal ulcer. I strongly feel her corneal ulcer was due to a chemical burn from the shampoo they used during her appointment. The day after the vet appointment, I went back to Pup-A-Razzi to see if they would pay for the vet bill, because it was obvious to me that my dog was injured while in their care. Lucy would not admit that my dog?s eye injury was their fault nor did she act like she cared that my dog had been injured. Lucy claimed that this sort of incident has never happened before, and that the shampoo?s they use are so gentle and diluted that there is no way it caused injury to her eye. WRONG! I am positive that my dog did not insert her own two eyeballs into a solution that caused that much damage all by herself during the two hours that she was home by herself after being groomed. Lucy also suggested that I may have taken her for a walk and she could have gotten something in her eye then. Not the case, she went straight from Pup-A-Razzi, to my car, to my home. On a semi positive note, Lucy did pay for half of the first vet bill, but only as a ?courtesy to me? not because they were at fault. I didn?t even bother to ask them to pay for the second follow up appointment to make sure that her eye actually healed properly. To further prove this establishment?s incompetence, they mailed the check to my vet, instead of me; even though my address was clearly printed on the paid vet invoice, causing the check to arrive much later than it should have. I understand accidents happen, but a good business needs to accept responsibility when they are at fault, show empathy, and take care of their mistakes 100% not only half.
