I've rented Kegs from Big Blue Distributors twice now. The first time they rented me a defective tap without a rubber washer, essentially making the keg useless. (Without a rubber washer, the tap cannot maintain pressure which is required for beer to come out). The second time, they gave me a broken tub (which leaked all over my living room floor) and ANOTHER defective tap. This time the rubber washer was too small. I was only able to get the beer out if I had two people firmly pressing down, holding the tap in place. The means three people were required to get one beer out at a time.
I did not receive a refund for the tub or the tap rental and was told that it was my fault, that I probably broke it, and that I should be lucky to get my full deposit back. BEWARE.
If you are in the Williamsburg/Greenpoint area, I recommend Beverage World on Meeker. The prices are comparable and they actually rent kegs/taps that work.
