I had to take my dog into the veterinary emergency referral group. She had jumped off the sofa and then wouldn't put her foot down. They took her to the back. It was a long time before I went into a room. There were several emergency that came in after me. They called lots of ""stat""s after I came in. When I finally got in a room, they gave me an estimate of what they needed to do to find out what had happened. They had asked me earlier if they could give her a pain shot, I said yes. It turned out she had broken her leg, they referred me to a surgeon for her and kept her comfortable till I could take her to see the specialist two days later.(Why do these things happen on Fridays?) I was so glad they were there for me and her. My girl has had her surgery and is doing much better now. Thanks VERGI
