Ok, so I'm making it my mission to review DIS on every site I can because the previous reviewer evidently really hated the experience and did the same. We have been sending our kid to DIS for going on 5 years now, since pre-K, and have only good things to say about the school. The teachers communicate with us personally via e-mail with issues regarding our child and suggestions to help us, and the administration contacts us via news letter or occasionally by phone when necessary. No communication problem here. The French teachers ASK to come here to teach, so there is no ""anti-American"" agenda. They teach French as per their job title, not American history, but that does not equate some sort of political skew. American studies are covered in english class. No bullying policies are part of the orientation and as for the teachers well they know how to treat the kids because kids tell the parents and the parents join up and force any changes. The school is well aware of any problems and are pro-active to fix them.
