Review content:
Since moving to Houston two years ago, I've been saddened to find that there are very few worthy Indian restaurants as compared to Atlanta, GA. I've tried all the usuals in town and the suburbs and even ventured to Hillcroft. A lot of it is supergreasy and overcooked, which is I guess how Texans like things. Khyber is my favorite so far, with quality food that really reminds me (and several other Indians I've spoken to) of what you might find at an Indian's home. It has a very typical north Indian cusine with very fair portions that are well spiced, maybe even too overspiced for the native tongue. The waitstaff is great. I've eaten here with my boyfriend, my family, my friends, and brought my whole office as well, and it's always been great.
Pros: traditional north indian menu, friendly and helpful staff
Cons: sometimes too greasy.
