I have used Rent Max a few times i the last couple of years. I think I have found a home from them all of those times except one. It definitely beats scouring papers, driving the neighborhoods, etc looking for places for rent. A lot of the places I have seen from Rent Max are dumpy, but a lot of them weren't. I'd say it's about 50/50. And you can use them the next time you move, as long as it's within a year, and you still have your reciept.
Pros: many many listings
Cons: costs money
