Review content:
I just got my hair cut last week at Estilo Valdez by Laura, and it was a great experience over all. Laura is very talented (not to mention very nice and friendly), and she was very patient with me while I explained what I was going for and how my last cut was awful, I even showed her some pictures on my laptop. She said they get a lot of curlies in there, so they have lots of practice. She did a half dry/half wet cut, and gave me some tips about how to get the look I wanted at home. She was also very honest about which of the products might be worth buying, and which were pretty much the same as other brands (it's a Redken salon). Nobody pressured me at all to buy the products, which was nice. The cut was $55, less expensive than the other places I found that claimed to be good for curly hair. Laura mentioned that they have a lot of regulars, and I can see why - I will definitely be going back. :) Also, I don't know if this is just for right now, but they've got a neat deal where you can refer a friend and you both get $20 off your next cut, pretty sweet! Pros: friendly staff, complimentary drink, talented stylists Cons: Not enough room for Pros there: add affordable!
