Everyone has their favorite pizza joint. Like with football teams, each and every person has their particular favorite and will defend it with a zealotry usually reserved for religion. Nevertheless, I have never taken anyone to star pizza that hasn't raved about it afterward. It is the great equalizer. When you do go, you have to order a Chicago deep-dish style pizza. Most of us are used to the NY style, but the deep crust with heaps of cheese, sauce, and condiments is the stuff that dreams are made of. My personal favorite is the Marilyn's and it just blows my mind every time I get it. It's like being in love. Every time I have it, it just gets better. While certainly pricier than your usual Domino's/huge deliver chain, as soon as you sink your lucky teeth into the beautifully hand crafted pies, you realize where those extra 5-6 dollars went. If you live within delivery range, you really have no business ordering from anywhere else, you are doing yourself a great disservice. To top it off, eating at any of their two locations is always a hoot, it's fun to sit back and people watch, their clientele tends to fall to the ""interesting"" crowd. So just trust me on this one, you cannot go wrong with a deep dish, and you can even order a wheat crust to boot!
