Review content:
Wow ... I cannot believe some of these negative reviews and think they must be trolls or competitors. My family has been coming to Cafe du Berry for years - it is a well-loved tradition. We each have a favorite breakfast: the incredible custardy french toast, the salmon benedict, the veggie frittata, the scallop and mushroom omelette. Coffee is good and the orange and grapefruit juices are fresh-squeezed. This place is reminiscent of a bistro in Paris with the narrow stairs to the second floor and a light-filled first floor crowded with small tables. The service is pretty good (better than in Paris!) and sometimes when the place is busy it takes a little while to get the food, but hey, the whole reason we come here is to relax and enjoy each other's company and indulge in our favorite food. I have a job this year that keeps me across the country with trips around the world, and every time I come back to Portland I am happy to have the Cafe du Berry to return to.
