I am a 100% Puertorican and I grew up in NJ/NYC and looking for a Puerto Rican restaurant in Houston is like looking for a needle in a hay stack!! LOL So, I loved the food it was almost as good as my Mama's food and the atmosphere was so much fun! The owners came to our table and gave us coquito on the house and we had a blast!! The service was a little slow and the portions are small, so don't expect alot of food like we're use to serving at home...LOL that's why Hispanics are so overweight, we need to learn to eat smaller portions.... ANYWHO, over all the place is nice and food is excellent and the atmosphere is alot of fun especially on Friday Nights.. So if your looking for some good Puerto Rican food, Isla Coqui is the place to be!
