I was so sad when Sheepherders closed....it was my favorite restaurant. My family and I use to go there all the time for birthdays and get togethers. About a month ago my family and I went there for my grandmothers birthday. This was our first time going there since it had closed, so we were very excited. As soon as walked into the restaurant my excitement quickly went away. I could not believe how bad they F'd UP such a unique, historical landmark to make it look just like every other boring upscale restaurant in the Sacramento area. If my family wanted to go to a modern restaurant they would have picked from the many carbon copied restaurants available downtown. What a dissapointment....historical charm is what made it different, and different is good. Now there is nothing special about it. Sad. The food is nothing special either. It's 1-800-BORING! The food tasted bland and was way overpriced. My whole family and I will never go back. I hope business fails so that another owner who actually cares about historical charm can take over and bring back this once unique beauty.
