Review content:
Foxfire Farms is a great stables. I have kept my horse there for years, and the staff is not only extremely helpful and friendly, but very knowledgeable. My horse has always been happy and well-fed and obviously adores the barn owners and staff, whereas that has not been my experience at other barns. Also, the owners always check on the horses (they live on the property) at night, and notice things, like whether your horse isn't drinking as much water as usual. That happened to me. I got a phone call from the barn owner just to tell me she thought my horse might need some extra electrolytes because he didn't seem to be drinking quite as much as he normally did! Who knows, maybe she saved my horse from colic, or even worse! They call to remind me when shots and farrier care is due, or if there are any changes in my horse's behavior or health. Also, it's the only barn I know of that feeds the horses three times a day, instead of the usual one or two times a day. You can't put a price tag on that kind of attention and care. Even so, the prices at Foxfire are really reasonable, especially considering their close-in location.
Personally, I don't know why anyone in the Houston area would board their horses anywhere else.
Pros: Amazing care, personaltaff attention, friendly
