I am the girl that constantly shops...I love shoes. I love shoes because unlike clothes the size never changes, you can eat pizza and they still fit, you can even borrow your skinny friend's shoes (can't do that with jeans!), they make you feel fabulous & fashionable! Then I got engaged and what is the one item you see the least of on your wedding day....your shoes. What do the guests see the most of - that is right YOU! So I signed up for bootcamp about two months before my fairytale wedding. I spent two years prior doing spin classes 4 times a week and various step classes and my body stayed the same - not gaining and not losing. I basically just figured that I was meant to be curvaceous as we nicely call it for the rest of my life. That is until I started to think about how I wanted to feel on our wedding day. I knew I was going to be extremely happy and glowing but was I going to have the confidence to be actually proud and feel good about the way I looked. My fianc? had a friend that did Warrior Fitness Boot Camp who lost 30 pounds and it really motivated me to try it. I was so nervous about going for the first time but that is honestly the hardest part. Once you get there everyone is so friendly and are there to motivate you and they really all want to see you succeed at reaching your own personal goals whatever it may be. Some people are training for marathons/sports and others are trying to fit into their skinny jeans by Friday. There are many different forms of athleticism there (men, females, old, young, jocks, people that wear pink all of the time) and Alex and Ruben (the Marines) do an amazing job at making everyone work their own personal hardest. They are truly invested in you feeling good about yourself and being the rock star that you are. The best part is that the class goes super fast! I can remember being in spin classes at my old gym and feeling like I was there for at least 30 minutes and then look up to see that only five minutes went by. Not in boot camp - they keep you motivated and focused so you are never bored and they come up with some crazy exercises. The most important part of all of this is that it works! I went down two dress sizes for the wedding, I looked toned and I felt amazing and really proud that I accomplished my goal. Smallest I have ever been!! Hell yeah I rocked a bikini on the honeymoon! Now that the wedding is over I still go. I just signed up for an unlimited package for three months! It does not matter what you look like, where you work, where you live - once you are there we are all the same...Warriors!
Pros: Friendship, strength, confidence, clothes fit!!
