I took my husband's watch in to get fixed. It was supposed to be a surprise for Xmas so I took it in on Nov. 30th because the watch has sentimental value but hadn't worked for a few years. The man looked over the watch and told me it would probably cost more to fix than the watch is worth. I told him the cost was irrelevant, my husband doesn't want a new watch he wants that watch fixed. He said he'd call the next day with an estimate. After not hearing anything I called a week later and they told me a part had been ordered and they were waiting for it to get in. I asked if they found out what was wrong with the watch and he said the crystal just needed to be replaced and would cost about $35. I waited 2 more weeks and called again because Xmas was a week away. They said they were still waiting for the part. I asked again if they were still going to be able to repair the watch. He said yes. I got a call 3 weeks after christmas saying I could come pick up my watch since I'd opted not to have the repairs done. I called back to find out what the heck they were talking about and they said the watchmaker decided the repairs would cost more than the watch was worth. I was so livid that I didn't even want to deal with them anymore. The customer service was horrible and I said up front that cost wasn't an issue so who were they to decide whether or not it was worth it to fix the watch without talking to me. I am so upset that they ruined my husband's surprise AND the watch still doesn't work. Cons: bad service
