I'm not sure why there were so many negative reviews... I went there yesterday for the first time because a friend of mine gave me a gift certificate for a massage and facial. She had been going there for years and swears by it. Yes, it is not the most glamours looking place, but think about it... during spa treatments, do you really usually have your eyes open? My massage was wonderful and I loved that she only used lotion. She really got the knots out and was able to give me just the right amount of pressure. As for the facial, don't expect it to feel good. Facials are not supposed to feel great, they are supposed to hurt and that is how you know you have a good one. I had Corrina who was wonderful and really payed attention to my skin and removed every little thing. I've had facials before where they put a lot of nice smelling, pretty things on my face, but when it's all overwith, they didn't really do a darn thing. This is not the case wtih Mario Bedescu. If it's glamour you are looking for with treatments that aren't that great, then go somewhere else. This place gets down to business and really takes care of the beauty problems at hand. I highly recomend it.
