I usually take my kids there late Sunday mornings or early afternoons after walking the Canal Walk for some milkshakes. My favorite is the Shockoe Shake. We enjoy drinking them outside under the tree where the kids chase after the birds. Very relaxing times. :-)
The restaurant has a nice, comfy feel to it with a nice reading nook in one corner with a comfortable sofa and chairs.
This definitely isn't your ""father's Starbucks"" and thank goodness! ;-)
I was recently very surpised, however, to find they've raised their prices quite a bit. Three milkshakes shouldn't cost almost $15. But, then again, the kids are worth it. :-)
Pros: Warm, inviting place, Great milkshakes
Cons: Very expensive, Lack of parking
