I called 3 times about a Sears price match for a set of four (4) tires before I left my home. I didn't want any surprises when I went to the store. Everything was fine until I walked in the door of the EMPTY store. Then, the automotive manager would not honor terms discussed over the phone. He also instructed his employee to add more charges. Have you ever heard of the following fees for a new tire purchase?: Tire balance $12.25 each, Tire mount $8.50 each, Valve stems $3.99 each. No road hazard warranty on estimate. There were other charges imposed by the state that were reasonable. Think about it. When you go to other places for about $10.00 a tire you get mounting, balancing and valve stems. Forsyth Sears at Hickory Point Mall wanted to charge $24.74 a tire. Avoid doing business here unless you want to overpay.
