As a member of a large business company which frequently treats its employees to dinner, i am quite familiar with the busy Friday nights accompanying all restaurants in the downtown area. furthermore, i am familiar with the less than par service that large parties sometimes receive when the restaurant is full. this was not the case with silhouette. first of all, the atmosphere of silhouette was very warm, and very unique. our eclectic server, Sarah, was very friendly and extremely helpful. she gave us GREAT recommendations on drinks and appetizers and refilled our waters so that i never saw the bottom of my glass a single time. it was obvious that she had several other tables (plus our party of 10) yet she took the time to pay full attention to our questions and requests. we ordered two ""boats"" of sushi and a great deal of rolls and almost all the food came out surprisingly quickly since there are only 2 chefs behind the sushi bar. one of the boats took longer than the rest so the manager compensated by providing the entire table of 10 with a free round of drinks. the fish was sensational. it was incredibly fresh, the presentation was aesthetically pleasing, and i didn't try one single thing that i found to be sub-par. our table had such an enjoyable experience that we applauded our server at the end of our meal. the service was great, the manager was great, and the food was great. what more could you ask for?
