Review content:
After reading the mixed reviews we decided to give this restaurant a try. Big mistake. We ordered our meal, specifically requesting the entrees extra hot. We also ordered 2 beers. The beers didn't come with the appetizer, and when the main course came, we again requested them. Perhaps they'd forgotten? The rice that always accompanies the food was spooned onto our plates by the waiter. We immediately noticed that it was approximately 4 forkfulls for each of us. What we ordered as extra spicy was extra mild. No flavor, let alone hot. Plus, the portions were tiny, to boot. The waiter came around and we complained about the spiciness not being there. He took back our meals and a few minutes later they were back, with cayenne added to them. For hot food to be properly hot it has to be cooked with the peppers; not have peppers added at the end, else the flavors don't blend. This was the case with this meal. Flavorless, but hot. The rice quickly ran out and we asked for more. When the bill came we'd been charged for 2 plates of rice at $4.75 each. Never in our lives had we been charged $9.50 for the plain rice that accompanies our meals! We decided that covered most of the tip. You are better off searching online for a good curry recipe than wasting your time and money at Gaylord.
Pros: Nice atmosphere
Cons: Price, service, food quality
