McHenry dance is one of the greatest dance studions in the area. With a friendly staff and a great enivorment no wonder why their dancers are so amazing! I attended their ""Dancing 08"" recital and it was amazing. Their were solos which were incredible and the groups were so together and on cue I was taken away! Their end finale was incredible! I loved every minute of it! At the intermission, they had pretzel, candy, water, and 50/50 stands set up and everything was so organized. the parents working at the stands were so nice and friendly too! The studio is very clean! There are two dance rooms at McHenry dance, two bathrooms, two water fountains, a waiting area for the parents, and a changing area / hangout room for the dancers. One of the dancers that danced there who is now a teacher their many of you may know. Her name is Melissa Vella. For those of you who watched SYTYCD Season 1, she was on it and made it to either the top 8 or top 4 . somewhere between their im not really sure! Well she is a teacher there along with Jamie Dain, Dolores Mchenry and many others. For classes you can take tap, jazz, ballet, lyrical, hiphop, strech class, acro, and adult classes are offered here. Let me also say Mchenry cleans up pretty well at competitions. The soloist have won many overall high scores and the groups have been in many top 10s. McHenry does around 5-7 regionals a year and 1 national. They do many extra activites for the kids like trips, movie nights at the studio, and preformances on the wildwood beach. Mchenry teaches kids the proper way to do things on and off the dance floor. They teach children how to be great dancers, good sports, and to always try your best! GO MCHENRY!
