i just had a really awful experience with Thu. I took her a really expensive silk dress that needed to be taken up a bit at the shoulders and I told her I needed it in one week. No problem. I called her in 6 days and she told me it was not done but to come in the mid morning. When I arrived at the appointed time, it was not done. She told me to come back in an hour. When I came back it was done but she had taken too much and the dress was fitting terribly - all bunched under my arms. She would have sent me home with it. I said it had to be fixed. She blamed me for pinning it wrong and concocted a discussion we had saying I had told her to take more against her advice!? I insisted that it be fixed. It was a big deal b/c now the arm holes needed to be recut and there was trim. Anyway, the next day it was done, and nicely. She also put a stitch in the neckline to keep it closed. I really needed that and it was a nice touch I didn't specifically ask for. But it wasn't quite in the right place and the dress was pulling badly. Again she argued with me and told me that she could not remove the stitch or the seam would show. Not true. She also tried to tell me the dress wasn't pulling. Finally she said - ""Pin it yourself!"" I did and she redid the stitch in a second and then chided me that she wasn't going to charge me for that work.
Pros: close to my house
Cons: messed up my dress and gave me lots of backtalk
