Review content:
Being it was my first visit to House Wine, and with all the hub-bub of Thursday night specials--it was a little overwhelming. Parking is horrific--so don't be surprised if you can't park on site. But, I don't let something as asinine as parking affect my overall recommendation of this place. It was just as the other reviews stated--low key, inviting, and overall fantastic atmosphere, people, and vittles. However, the staff is not the most engaging group of people. There was no friendly banter, no helpful recommendations for cheese/wine pairing, and general lackluster with personality. Once I was able to ""figure things out on my own"" the evening was wonderful, the wine was memorable, and the cheese trays delectable. Highly recommended for ALL TYPES of people--including those, like myself, that judge wine off of taste, not name. However, for those novice wine drinkers, be prepared to meet frustration if your questions are answered in one word responses; or with no response at all. Everyone's palate, preference, and pocket book differ--and this place definitely meets whatever variation you desire. Cheers!
Pros: Ambience, patrons, location, price
Cons: Parking, Staff needs work
