Review content:
My parents (both now deceased) honeymooned at Split Rock Lodge in 1944. They often talked about what a wonderful trip they had. I have two cherished photographs: The first one is of my mother, dressed for a hike in the woods (very casual for her!) sitting on my fathers lap in a big leather easy chair. They are in what looks like a very rustic looking main room in front of a fireplace. Very cozy! The second photograph is of some buildings (possibly cabins?) along the lake shore. The lake is frozen, and there is snow all around. It is a beautiful shot, and truly makes you want to be there! I live in California, but would love to visit Split Rock Lodge some day... my parents made it sound delightful!
