For years the men in my family have tried to save money by doing most of our vehicle repairs and maintenance themselves. This means that I have made many phone calls to auto parts stores quoting prices and asking questions. Although I have never had a terrible experience at any auto parts store in Wausau or the surrounding areas, my experience with O'Reilly has been exceptional. From just plain acknowledging I walked in the door and greeting me no matter how busy to taking the time to give me information I would have had to pay for elsewhere (justask.com). The team that works here is amazing and whether they will make a buck off of my ignorance or not, they take all the time I need to be sure I'm making the right call. One day a few months ago my husband had been troubleshooting a problem with our vehicle for too long and both of us had become impatient. We ripped it apart and made a huge mess of our garage ready to do something drastic. We took the problem part to O'Reilly. As we began to explain the trouble we were having to the clerk, the manager came out from the back and joined in the troubleshooting. For about 15 minutes they pondered different ideas as to what could be our issue. The manager took the part and examined it by eye before putting it on the testing machine. She told us before she even attempted the test that she was almost certain it was not our problem. She gave us some ideas that were so much easier to check. To my amazement, she actually saved us over $300 that day by telling us NOT to purchase a new part and what to examine when we got home. We ended up not having to buy anything from O'Reilly that day but this experience surely keeps us 100% loyal. Well worth the trip to O'Reilly whether you need oil or just plain exceptional service!
