I used Property Inspection Team as a first-time home buyer and had an excellent experience with them. I decided to use them because of their reputation and the thoroughness of the reporting that they do.
At the time, I was single and buying a house on my own for the first time. Jim Ward, the inspector, spent a lot of time with me, paying special attention to my unique needs rather than treating me as a cookie-cutter home buyer. He educated me on the property as far as what I needed to be looking for and doing to maintain it. He was very informative, and helped me make a buying decision based on cost of ownership, not just cost of purchase.
Jim's report was extremely thorough compared to reports that friends of mine had received from other inspection services. The service that Jim provides goes beyond whether your home passes muster. He enjoys people and has a passion for handyman work.
I have already referred Property Inspection Team to other people who have used them and also recommended them. They go above and beyond to educate home buyers, especially first-time home buyers and couples.
