My hair was horrible coming into the salon. After my mom's stylist tried to lighten it to brown from black, I was left with spots and streaks of black, red, copper, and many other colors that were not attractive!!! Nancy stripped my hair and made sure to use the most gentle formula and we went light brown with bleached streaks!! I LOVED it and was so happy to have my color perfect!! I got the Keratin Coppolla treatment done by Nancy as well. Long story short: my hair was hell to deal with especially in the humidity- very, very frizzy and curly with deep waves. The Keratin treatment has cut off at least an hour from my hair prep time. I get out of the shower, brush it, and put some leave-in Kerastase conditioner on the ends and DONE. My hair dries in very soft waves if even that. It is straight but can hold a curl and it is sooo healthy for your hair which is unheard of for a straightening treatment. Nancy dyed my hair back to dark brown, almost black, and it has faded to a gorgeous chocolate brown. Overall, Nancy and the rest of the stylists are the definition of professional. I will swear by the Keratin treatment and being a poor college student, think that it is 110% worth the money. My hair is healthier and more manageable than it has ever been because of The Upper Hand. THE best salon in Houston no doubt about it!!!
Pros: Staff stays on board like a happy, large family.
