This is a low key, off-the-beaten path, no pretensions Hell's Kitchen bar. It seems to have a great staff, very low key and accommodating. I live a block away and this place always fits the bill when i don't want to stress myself ""going out"", I just want to sit in a dark bar with a drink and catch up with a few friends, and actually hear what they're saying. It's one of the few places where you have a really good chance of getting a barstool, even if you roll in at 11. If you've had a long day and just want to sit down, there are sofas all around. It's not divey, but it is pretty dark, which I find really relaxing. The only thing I'm not keen on is that there are four TVs (silent sound though)d, but do understand the business reasons for having sports on.
