Remember how good Milk tasted out of a glass bottle? You can have that wonderful taste again! Oberweis Dairy is located in Schererville, Indiana and you can purchase Milk in glass bottles and they also have the best ice cream I've ever tasted! It's decorated in a 50's Style soda fountain shoppe. You can eat inside or take your purhcases home with you. They have wonderful sundaes, cones, shakes and malts! There is also a freezer and refridgerator area where you can purchase items to take home. They have Chocolate Milk in half gallon glass bottles, White Milk (whole, 2%, etc) in half gallon glass bottles, Lemonade and Punch in half gallon glass bottles, and they also have these items in plastic quart bottles. In the freezer section is their amazing ice cream....darn near every flavor you can think of with special selections for different holidays. Our favorites are the peppermint ice cream for the Christmas holidays and the Coffee Ice Cream for the rest of the year! They also have an assortment of other refrigerator items available (half/half, cheeses, etc). There is a bottle deposit on the glass bottles but you get that back when you return the bottles. Milk used to get spilled out quite often at our house because it wouldn't get finished before the expiration date. That doesn't happen anymore...the bottle is always empty long before the exp. date because the taste is so good!
