Review content:
I always wanted to float in a sensory deprivation tank and my friend bought me a gift certificate to Zen Blends. The certificate came in this cute tiny blue box and is a perfect symbol for the experience. The house is very calming and quiet. Zen Blends has a private shower to use before and after floating so you can clean off before as well as wash all the salt out of your hair after. The tank itself has the option for music to be played under the water. I had the music for the first 1/2 of my 90 min float and then quiet. I recommend just having silence since it wasn't until that part of the float that I really ventured into space. The tank is a one of a kind experience that anyone who is in need of some peace and quiet, a little get away or even some some inner reflection. The woman who owns the place is very nice and will send you emails with specials and last minute rates if you want. The only thing that I can say bothered me was the smell of the tank but after a few minutes of floating that was the last thing on my mind.
Pros: amenities, staff, attention to details
Cons: smell of floatation tank and distance from town
