I really really hope that anyone even remotely considering PUBLIC STORAGE immediately reconsiders based on this information. I just discovered today that my two flat screen TVs were stolen from my unit on 8th Street in Hoboken. AND, the lock that I bought through PS was fully intact. The insurance I bought through them doesn't cover burglary unless you can prove there is forced entry. Seriously? Do they have duplicate keys to the locks people buy from them or something? The girl behind the counter said she knew of a similar incident and encouraged me to file a police report (like I'll get anywhere or have time for that). Anyway, I've been reading online and it sounds like this happens all the time. BTW, my rent somehow crept from $170 to $240 over the last two years for a unit that is apparently not even secure (they don't answer inquiring emails either). Please don't just beware, please do yourself a favor and find a friend with space in their basement or attic for your stuff and pay them instead of risking your items and feeling helpless when something like this happens. Pros: null Cons: null
