I don't know what the previous reviewers consider authentic Texas BBQ - but the one I found at Whistlin' Dixie tasted like warmed over leftovers from last weekend's tail-gate party. The $6.95 price for all you can eat should've tipped me off regarding quality. They served beef brisket, pulled-pork, chicken, sausage, beef ribs, and pork riblets during my visit and the best thing they had there was their fried onion rings. Though on a steam table and under a heat lamp, the food was cold. The brisket tasted like jerky and the sausage looked withered like it would if you nuked it in the microwave for 20 minutes on high setting.
