Review content:
I visited Zeds for Easter brunch on 4/8/2012. I made a reservation a week prior online, for a party of 3, for their Easter brunch at 11:30am. I had requested outside seating when making the online reservation.
The outside eating area when I arrived was completely empty, save for two tables. I requested a table on their deck, which was the most attractive of the outside areas, but my seating request was declined by the hostess, who wanted to seat my party on the grass with no overhead cover.
After requesting to speak with a manager to confirm the deck seating availability, general manager Laura Josselson came out to discuss, and in the process of discussing the seating options she became unprofessional. In an unprovoked emotional outburst, where she made several strange demands to "be respected", she asked myself and my family to to leave the restaurant, thereby refusing to seat us anywhere, inside or out.
This outburst created a scene to the patrons that were seated inside the restaurant, who were obviously bothered by it.
This was both unbelieveable and unacceptable.
On my way out of the restaurant I informed the manager of my intent to complain about her disgusting behavoir, to which she replied "Really?!"
