Review content:
This was the first movie cinema in Pearland, and it has seen some wear and tear. The theaters are not as large as some in the area, nor as comfy. Because their employees are oftentimes young (think high school) and inexperienced, I have seen some glitches when they are running the previews (sometimes it is askew, but usually corrected by the time the feature film starts).
Acknowledging their negatives and their competition, they have started offering $2 movies before 6 p.m. For a newly released movie, this is a great deal! (Other area cinemas charge at least $5.75 for the matinée.) Their concession prices are about the same as other theaters, but they do offer a free refill on their large drinks and large popcorn.
All in all, I will keep coming to this cinema because it is a good bargain on family night. It may be lacking the ambiance, but my kids really don't care about what the carpet looks like or if the chairs recline. They just want to see a good flick, and I don't mind paying the price.
