I list THE FIELD OF DREAMS as one of my all time favorite movies. Not only does it have great stars, a wonderful storyline but it also has great scenery....most of it shot right here in Iowa!
This field is a step back into time. Though it is a mere farm field turned into a baseball field/movie set, the magic of a movie and a heart touching story still lingers so many years later.
This site is very simple but nice. though the original field has been cut down a bit to allow for planting it still has the feel of the movie there and visitors can experience it firsthand. There is also a small gift shop where you can purchase cute "mementos" from your visit.
If you are in the area, take a detour, ask directions or simply point your car in the general direction....after all it is THE FIELD OF DREAMS.....a place where movie magic was made!
