Some friends & I, who rarely frequent the North Beach club/bar scene on a Friday night, decided to start off at Kell's (edge of North Beach/Financial District), bad idea. It was a frat party gone wrong: bad music, bad drinks, and fugly people/bouncers. Wanting to make good use of our sweet parking spot, we walked up to Broadway and decided to try FUSE, which we've been to a couple of times on more tame North Beach evenings. Thank God! The bouncer was friendly, there was no cover, the bartenders were friendly and made kick-ass cocktails, and the DJ spun real beats... this more than made up for the horrible experience at Kell's. This place is intimate and the dance floor is small, but by far keeps me coming back to North Beach, even with the horrible parking, on Friday nights. Pros: Good/Strong Drinks, Friendly Bartenders, Great up & coming DJs Cons: , Long wait for drinks
