Stay far away from this place.These people took me for $1100. After the first mechanic I hired screwed up my vehicle, I contacted Home Auto Service and they assured me they could fix and repair the damage done by the previous mechanic. I own the vehicle and live in Austin, Tx but the car is driven by my son who lives in San Antonio. I gave them the go ahead to work on the vehicle. Around 3 weeks later I got a call saying the car had been repaired. The mechanic explained all that he had done and said it was ready and would be $1,080.00. No problem. I sent them the money and my son went to pick up the vehicle and barely made it home due to the car runnins so bad. After contacting them about it now they say it needs a tune up but the car is so bad it wont stay running. Why they even let it leave the shop knowing it was running so bad is beyond me. Now they want me to send them another $125 for a tune up but I think there is more to it than that. When I asked for them to email me the receipt for the work they did, I was told they coud not find the receipt and could not make another one because they could not remember what they did to the vehicle. BIG RED FLAG. When you lie about something, it's kind of hard to remember exactly what you say.Now they will not work with me on fixing the vehicle nor will they return my phone calls. What a rip off place.
