I saw the recent writeup of Fusion in Georgetown View and decided to give them a try. There was a mild, fresh scent when I walked in and relaxing music playing softly. The furniture and decor is beautiful. The receptionist was friendly yet professional. I went in for a consultation with Dr. Pliego (it was free). It was supposed to be for 30 mts but she spent 45 mts with me going over various treatment options and answering all my questions (I'm very thorough and anal!). She seems to really know her stuff. I felt comfortable knowing a doctor is the owner and is onsite all the time. Fusion seems to be like a doctor's office but in a spa setting. No new age, trendy treatments. I think I'll start with a micropeel and see how that goes. I also booked a facial for my husband for Father's Day. I'll report after our appointments. I can't wait! UPDATE: I just had a micropeel with Debra and I loved it. I was nervous at first since I've only had a facial before (and that was years ago--pre kids). I always had the impression that a microdermabrasion would hurt. And a chemical "peel" sounded very scary. But my birthday is coming up and and I need a confidence booster! Debra was great about making me feel comfortable and I really appreciated how she explained everything to me before she did it. She used the lowest setting on the microderm and it didn't hurt at all. It felt a little strange--she said like a cat liking your face and I think that's right. I told her I have sensitive skin so she used the lightest peel and assured me that she'd look for any signs of reaction but that I can also let her know if I want her to take it off. But I just felt a slight tingley feeling. She put layers of peels and masks on me (I don't remember the exact ones) and massaged it in which felt really good. Afterwards my skin looked so clean and glowing. And I felt YEARS YOUNGER I have a wedding to go to in a few months so I think I'll go back to Debra every few weeks until the wedding and see if I get any responses. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND FUSION MED SPA AND DEBRA!!! BTW, I ended up getting my husband a Clarisonic cleansing system for Father's Day and he loves it! I ended up buying my own brush head so I can use it too. I love it too. It cleans your face so well it's incredible. Now if I skip using it it's like I skipped brushing my teeth. The Clarisonic is well worth the money (and the one Fusion sells is the Pro version that has an extra speed than the one at Sephora and other places). Try it cuz you'll love it! Pros: Location is discreet, expertise, service, excellent products Cons: No cons
