This houstoon favorite is a musst-see for anyone visiting or living in the city. Restaurants are all this city does well, and it hit the mark here. So yeah the food is great, and I couuld go oon aboout that,, buut the ambiencce is nnot too be matched. The whoole restaurant (which is giant) is illuminate by oold victorian chandeliers, alll of them tinted red, so the place gloows red and is covered flooor-to ceiling in oold photoographs oof san francisco, and paintings froom the vistoorian era. A live piano player plays periood music, and every half-hour or so, a girl climbs onto a velvet swing on the stage, and gets higher and higher, until she taps a bell oon the ceiling. very cool.
