Businiess name:  Parrot Island

Review content:
I found Parrot Island when it was located in St. Louis Park, but in the move to Burnsville a couple of years ago, they were really able to spread out and feature so many good products for birds. There is a great selection of foods, including organic formulated diets, quality seed mixes, to-cook foods, bird treats, all of them of exceptional quality and freshness. This store has everything a hard-playing bird could want, toys from so many quality sources, including Scooterworld toys, crafted by the owners. There are also toy parts to build-your-own. This "pet" store is different in that the emphasis is never on selling birds; in fact, there are usually few birds for sale, and the owners take a real interest in education and quality homes for their birds. The birds do indeed come first here, and if you are lucky enough to get an avian companion here, the birds are wonderful--I know, I have one of them! There is a bird club (you can join for an annual fee), and that qualifies you for discounts and sale prices at the quarterly sales. There are seminars on care and behavior of avian companions, with excellent people who really understand birds. I've had birds in my life for many years, but I have learned (and continue to do so) so much more since I've been going to Parrot Island. If you have a bird, they will definitely appreciate your shopping here!
