Review content:
I've been to Columbia Rovers now for several visits, and have never been impressed by neither their service nor their prices. I didn't know their were options beyond the dealer until they put a free oil change coupon on my car, and I was at first very hopeful. My gut reaction upon meeting the owner, Brent, was that something wasn't right. I should have trusted my instincts, but something was definitely off about him. His other manager wasn't much better, but hey free oil change right? After waiting over two hours to get the oil change done, something about the right filter not being in stock, I was finally approached with a huge list of repairs my car needed, including gaskets, heads, and a strong possibility that my engine was already dead, and couldn't be determined until I invested big money into tearing it a part. My car has under 70,000 miles and these engines are supposed to last forever. I'd never overheated, and never had any serious issues. The dealership told me I had leaking valve cover gaskets a few months prior, but that it wasn't a pressing issue. I thought they were just squeezing me. That was nothing compared to this. I left with just the oil change, telling them I'd need to check my finances first. Shortly after, I started noticing serious oil leaking underneath my car... Not happy. I then scheduled another appointment back with the Dealership to get a second opinion. Not only did they find that my oil was nearly empty, as the OIL FILTER HAD NOT BEEN SCREWED ON TIGHTLY ENOUGH... But the only other motor leak present was still just valve cover gaskets. I don't know if they're outright liars, or just massively incompetent. Regardless, I will steer every last Land Rover owner I ever meet away from Columbia Rovers.
