Review content:
I normally do not write reviews; however, I had such a terrible non-experience at the Sedona spa that I wanted to share my buyer beware story. I am currently a student and a friend of mine bought me a massage and sauna at the Sedona spa for my birthday. I was excited after seeing all of the good reviews this place has received. On the day of my appointment, I left 30 minutes in advance to come to the spa (which is only 10 minutes away from me). On the way, I hit traffic due to an accident that was on the road. I called the spa to mention to them that I was going to be 10 minutes late. I was told that the time would cut into my session. Once I reached the spa, after battling traffic, I was actually 30 minutes late for my appointment and was told that I had missed my appointment and therefore had lost my certificate. I could re-book but would have to pay for that day's appointment as it would be considered a late cancellation. I would also like to clarify that I was not told of their cancellation policy on the phone when I initially booked the appointment (and I had booked with the manager). Right there went my whole gift certificate (and my friend's money/my birthday present) down the drain. Even after speaking to the manager, I was told that nothing could be done despite my good faith effort to make it there on time and calling ahead since I was going to be late. I am pretty surprised and appalled at the level of service I received at this spa. The circumstances in this situation were completely beyond my control and I find it difficult to believe that I am the first person to ever be late due to being stuck in traffic due to an accident on a major Dallas highway (I-35). It seems surprising that given I was a first time customer, the spa was willing to throw away all future business opportunities they had with me by choosing this course of action. I
