Review content:
My husband booked a facial for me, prepaying both the charge and tip, before whisking me off for a surprise weekend. Both of us had looked into Sedona based on the rave reviews it had gotten. I was booked for an 8:30AM facial. I arrived 15 minutes early so I might get ready, use the restroom, and relax after my drive in from Plano. The doors wee locked. I circled the block a couple of times and each time I came back the doors were still locked with no sign of activity inside. Finally at 8:30, I pulled on the doors making a loud clanging sound and someone came to let me in. She then made me complete paperwork regarding how often I drank, when I last saw my doctor, what my stress level was (increasing from this experience), etc. I protested, saying I was only getting a facial and was told they had to have the form for their files. Rather than delaying further, I completed the form hastily and said I was already being made late for my appt. She told me they did not open until 9:00. At this point I was very angry and would have left except my husband had prepaid. I told her I had an appt at 8:30 and that it and tip was prepaid. She took me back with nothing said and gave me a key to a locker and a top wrap. She verified with another women that no robes were given for facials. So I left my jeans and shoes on. As I stood not knowing what to do, someone folding sheets asked if I needed help and I said I was needing a facial. She said she was doing it and pointed to a room. I was asked to lay on the table. There was no attempt to provide any neck or knee support. She did offer to remove my shoes but given I had no slippers or socks offered I declined. I did not want to walk around barefoot and I have never been to a massage or spa setting that expected me to. I laid on the table flat on my back with no support throughout the 1 hour session, except for when I bent my knee
