Review content:
My husband and I were introduced to Aqua Verde when we had to rent kayaks there for a friend's wedding (yes, you read that right). Aqua Verde staff were friendly and helpful (especially for those os us not too coordinated at getting in our boats). We had been kayaking before, but it seemed like a good place if you wanted to give the sport a try without investing in a lot of expensive equipment. Aqua Verde also offers season passes for kayaking as well as hourly or daily rentals. Rates and directions are available on the Aqua Verde website.
I haven ever had the chance to try the café onsite, but have always heard good things about it---especially the Boniato (yam) tacos. Go kayaking though the lily pads of Lake Washington and come back hungry!
Parking can be beastly, so be prepared. No reservations accepted other than for groups of 8 or more.
