Through LivingSocial, I booked a couple's massage as a Valentine's gift for my bf and me. Our appt was at 7:30, and I rushed from Sugar Land to get there by 7:35PM. We walked in and was greeted by the guy who answered the phone when I made an appointment. He sweetly offered a glass of wine to us (and not the cheap kind). We then were instructed to fill out a form. He made small talk with us and we were guided to our massage room. Granted I have never had a professional massage appointment so I was feeling all sorts of thoughts: nervous, curious, stressed from work, and crossing my fingers that this was going to be a good experience. The room was serene, and the gentleman at the front desk brought a mini stereo to play some therapeutic music. He dimmed the lights after instructing us what to do. Then he gently shut the door and told us to enjoy our massage. We had two ladies for our massage. They were very quiet and polite throughout the massage and every now and then would ask us if we are doing ok. The massage started off with some aromatherapy then the body massage and hot stones (which was my favorite) then hot towels. It was amazing how they worked on all areas of the body and not just the back (we get to indicate on the form when we first entered, what areas we needed worked on). Afterwards the gently said the massage was over and I checked the time and they promptly ended at 8:52 when we started at 7:52. They don't skimp on time even if you start late. It was a relaxing and serene experience. It was my first time scheduling a massage and we both really needed one. We enjoyed our session so much that we came out and complimented the gentleman for the great shop he was running. He offered us both a fresh bottle of water and even allowed us to schedule a future appointment, for the same Living Social deal price! I have to say, I don't normally drive far for any services but for a massage like this, a once a month trip here and definitely a treat and a must. I recommend anyone who has any body aches or stress, regardless of age to come and have a visit. Due to high volumes of customers and a small shop, the owner did reiterate in a conversation with us that after the big Living Social promotion to get their name out, they realized they could barely handle the volume. He acknowledged some bad reviews he's received due to not being able to answer every single phone call catering to everyone's preferred appointment times, and after having calls forwarded from his office to home and cell, he has been disturbed at 6AM once to fill an appointment for an angry client. The guy seemed like a genuinely nice man. Just a hardworking owner who is proactively involved in getting his shops name out during the state of this economic hardship. They can only do so much to answer each phone call, they are all booked on couples massage appointments for a good 5 weekends, which the exception of weekdays available and most nights already immediately booked after the LivingSocial blast. Be patient, and also understand a phone call will get you somewhere over an email. Don't sit around and expect it to be replied to. I sent an email first and after a few hours of no reply I called him, got through, had to manuveur around a date and time to my satisfaction to get in, but it was definitely well worth it. I am more than happy with their service, sanitation, and how they run their business. Give them a call, and if you're lucky they'll get you in for an agreeable timeslot to fit your busy lifestyle. But understand, soon this gem of a massage shop will be so busy after this promotion, you'll be lucky if you even get penciled in. It's inevitable they'll have several return customers for future visits. They already sold me! :) Happy relaxing!
