Review content:
I attended a party at the Hyatt and was told that there would be valet parking available. In reality, upon arrival we were routed into their parking garage to self park and we parked on the 4th level. At 10:15 pm we left the party so that I could pick up my child no later than 11 pm. The childcare provider asked that we not be late and there would be a per minute charge beginning at 11:05. After starting the car we found ourselves in a line of cars that wasn't moving. We sat in one place with the engine running for 1.5 hours without moving an inch! When the line began to move it was after midnight, and it took another 30 minutes to get to the ticket gate. It took 2+ hours to actually get out of the Hyatt parking garage, and that is more time than we spent at the party. I was 2 hours late to pick up my child and was fined 10 times (yes, 10x) the original charge! A simple evening out with my husband turned into a living nightmare.\r

I called the Hyatt to complain about being literally trapped in their parking garage for 2 hours, and they said that they were busy and I just needed to understand that. I responded that having to wait 2+ hours to get out of any garage is way past ridiculous, and they said ""have a nice life"" and hung up on me. They never acknowledged that they had a problem and they never apologized for the gross inconvenience and hardship that they caused not only me, but many others I'm sure. I'm just glad that I didn't have a medical emergency. \r

I guess the Hyatt has been in business so long they have forgotten that everything matters. Boo Hyatt. I'll never get trapped in their parking garage again because I will never have anything to do with them ever again!
