Over the past 30 years, I've been to several area vets. Most are good, but Balcones is exceptional. Both Drs. Wood (senior and junior) are able to quickly and efficiently evaluate health issues, explain thoroughly what needs to be done to rectify situations and give me clear instructions. Their "bedside manner" is firm, but gentle, and my pups feel safe in their care. Two weeks ago, my golden had a burr stuck between the two lower eyelids. I had an appointment within two hours, and In less than ten minutes, her eye was numbed and examined, the burr extracted and I had a bottle of antibiotic in my hand. I highly recommend this place!
