DH and I went tonight for our 39th wedding anniversary. I've lived in Houston since I was 10 years old, but this was our first visit, in part because of the negative reviews on this site. We had a wonderful time. Nothing looked old and grungy; in fact, the decor was quite pleasant. Of course, the views are drop-dead gorgeous. I ordered an Irish coffee. It was the best I've ever had. The waiter even asked me if I needed more alcohol and/or coffee to make it perfect. We started with French onion soup for DH and the house salad for me. Both were great. The dressing on the salad was especially good. Entrees were filet and shrimp for DH and filet with wine-mushroom sauce for me. Both came with potatoes and mixed vegetables. For dessert, DH had key lime pie. I had another Irish coffee, but had several bites of the pie, which was excellent. Water glasses were kept filled, warm bread never stopped coming, and the waiter was perfect - attending to our every need but neither hovering nor obsequious. We plan to come back ASAP.
