Review content:
We used to love this place, but after our meal and treatment on 12/31/10, we will never return. Bad service, bad food, bad management. The new year's prix fixe menu was overpriced and each course was more disappointing than the one before it. Crab bisque with no crab, cold chateaubriand with inedible and congealed bearnaise, a "chesse plate" consisting of three little lumps of cheese all stuck together with a handful of mixed greens thrown on top of them, and for dessert, a puff pastry filled with creme that was so hard it could not be cut with a steak knife. When we told the manager Tatiana about our disappointment with the meal and service (on three separate occasions during the meal), she seemed to not care, continually saying that "this is the best menu of the year" and "each dish was executed fine." When we told her we probably would never return, she said "too bad" and never attempted to rectify the situation or apologize (aside from the offer of a glass of champagne, which would have been free anyway with our new year's meal!). We weren't looking for a comped meal, only some acknowledgment and understanding of our displeasure. My advice: never go to this restaurant. It used to be one of the best bistros in Houston, but now is a total disappointment.
