Review content:
I have been a patient of the RWG for ~ 5 years and am finally switching to a new ob/gyn after a recent incident involving the nursing staff. My complaints for this group range from never being able to get in to see the doctor, the entire practice dropping all Blue Cross/Blue Shield patients without notice, then negotiating a last-minute deal with BCBS and picking us all back up again to dirty waiting rooms and rude receptionist staff. I have finally decided to find another doctor after giving this practice repeated "2nd chances" to improve. I suffer from a severe case of endometriosis - the leading cause of infertility among women, a disease that afflicts 1 out of 10 women in this country - a top ten women's health issue. As a result of my severe endometriosis, I recently endured over 8 hours of crippling menstrual cramps that had me screaming, crying and writhing on the floor in pain. When I was finally able to get out of bed (or off the floor), I placed a call to my ob/gyn asking if someone should check me out. I was first told to call back after 9 because the nurses won't take calls before that time. I was then told, by a nurse, to just "come back in if it happens again." I specifically told her that I'm an endometriosis patient - she said there was nothing they could do. This is an unacceptable answer from a physicians group, housed in a building dedicated to women's health. So the bottom line is - if you have no gynecologically complicated health issues - just need routine paps every year and don't care who you see - this office will probably work out fine for you, but if you truly need attentive women's care - look elsewhere.
Pros: Building is nice.
Cons: Non-physician staff don't care about women's health.
