Review content:
Yelo was the worst spa experience ever!!! It’s not even a spa… there is no women’s changing area, I was directed to one hook to disrobe.... and a robe & towel was only provided for upon repeated request, and the restroom, I won’t even. . I called for my appointment and was able to get the exact time and date that I desired. Upon arrival I was not greeted and was actually ignored while the Asian receptionist shopped online for dresses, and I couldn’t’ see what the African-American receptionist was doing but she never looked up from her computer screen. Oh don’t let me forget the Caucasian receptionist who was snooping on both receptionists while sipping on something in a paper cup. Arriving 15 minutes earlier to my appointed time as most of you spa-goers know we need to change and relax. . . I was kept waiting at the desk to be greeted and provide further directions. While the dresses were loading the Asian reception made the time to direct me to the bench with a clipboard. (Not yet did anybody make any type of eye contact by the way.) Their cold tea tasted like soap when they did offer 18 minutes later of arriving now 8 minutes later then my appointment time. Hence I didn’t start on time . . . but funny enough, I finished earlier than suppose to on my 2 hr package. One in my space-ship – for somebody who is not claustrophobic – was claustrophobic… it was the most horrifying facial experience EVER… I could SMELL the HOT WATER/STEAM & was afraid of being burned for the entire duration of my facial although she assured me it was just the “smell” . . . there goes my aromatherapy charges….. The whole 2 hour experience felt like 5 hours of the worse time ever, with it being freezing through the “place” would never call yelo a "spa" & the must share that it was the MOST HORRIBLE experience ever of my 10 years of spa going in NYC! Spend your money elsewhere & if you want service don’t ever go there!
